Foundation was designed to even out your skin tone, so that more light is reflected from the face. If you’ve heard us talk about skin texture in the past, then you know that powder-based foundation is not ideal for faces with natural texture. (Any powdered foundation, blushes, bronzers or eyeshadows can accentuate any fine lines and wrinkles on your face!)
If you’re planning to use a foundation, we suggest using a cream-based foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. To find a foundation that matches your skin, apply a small amount of foundation to your face, and compare it to your skin. (if you can’t tell the difference, you found your match!)
To use foundation with Boom products: First use a Boom moisturizer like Boomsilk, Boomstick Glo or Boom Cotton, so that your skin can absorb the nutrients and benefits from the ingredients. Then, after your moisturizer has had a few minutes to do its work, apply your foundation over it.
If you’re wearing Boomsticks with foundation, dab on your moisturizing Boomstick Glo first. Then apply your cream-based foundation over it. Let your moisturizer dry for a few minutes. Then apply your Boomstick Color and Boomstick Glimmer over your foundation as desired. You can see more details about how to apply Boomsticks in our 10-minute makeup guide.
